How is the Glass Jewellery made?

The glass of each item is melted on a gas and oxygen fueled torch. Once in a molten state, it is shaped into the desired form using special tools and gravity. The glass is then cooled down slowly to room temperature and placed in a kiln to be fired for annealing. After firing, the beads are removed from their mandrels and thoroughly cleaned before it is ready to be assembled into jewellery pieces.
Gold & Platinum items are hand painted with gold/platinum lustre before it is fired in the kiln. Lustre is real gold/platinum, dissolved in an oil, when the oil burns off in the kiln, a deposit of gold/platinum is left behind on the glass.
