The glass rods, imported from Italy, are melted on a gas and oxygen fueled torch. Once in a molten state, it is shaped into the desired form using special tools and gravity. The glass is then cooled down slowly to room temperature and placed in a kiln to be fired for annealing. After firing, the beads are removed from their mandrels and thoroughly cleaned before it is ready to be assembled into jewellery pieces.
